Valuable Marketing Ideas to Consider

Savvy Advertising Tactics
- Start Blogging: Search engines love fresh new information that leads up to your website.. The more pages, the more information, the more links, the better!
- You can start a blog at ebay, Myspace, Youtube, and many more blog hosts!
- Most blogger browsers will respond to a general question, such as "I'm new, how about you?" or Does anybody like to go fishing? Or.... Hi everyone this is my first time blogging! or... hey.... What do you think of my new store design? Those will probably all get you a response. Posting it at different times will get you different responses as well. I doubt many of the bloggers stay there for long unless they're total blogger junkies.
- The key to Blogging for advertising purposes is to captivate your visitors with what you have to offer them. You can do this by having your blog uniquely designed, so that when a visitor opens your blog they are immediately captivated with what you have to offer. Have a blog template designed as well, so you can provide your visitors quick links to find what you have to offer, before they move on to something else. You have about 5 seconds to get their attention, so make that opening presentation POP!
- Posting notice of items for sale will probably not get much of a response, unless there's some kind of question that leads them to interaction. This does not mean this is bad.. cause people will still open up your blog and then your store... just means you'll probably not get much "audience participation"
- Website Banner Ad Links: Get a website banner ad and find website's where you can either trade links or pay a fee for getting your advertising banner in their website (not only does this help you with more people seeing you on multiple website's, but when the search engines find your website address on many website's, they deem you "more important" and you'll get ranked higher on their list.
- There are several different types of Banner link advertising that will help you get more known:
- 1. Find website's willing to TRADE LINKS with (you may want to have a “favorite links or Partners page built for this”)
- 2. Pay someone to put your ad on their website
- 3. Become an affiliate link partner and pay commissions when your products sell from a clicked ad link.
- Have a YouTube "Ad".. I've done searches and found many YouTube Ads in a
search. The more Youtube submissions, the better. This doesn't mean you
have to have a video of yourself if you're not ready for one. I've seen
plenty of slide shows in Youtube.
- One client recently did a silly Youtube puppet show advertisement of his designer watches. It was corny and great, moreover, it was a great way to further promote the excellent watches he had for sale!
- Advertise with Illustrations!
- Provide Customers and Friends your Business Cards and Personalized logo gifts whenever possible: If you don't have a business card, get one and pass it out EVERYWHERE and send it with every package you send out.
- A Business Flyer is a great idea to add to your shipping packages! Put an ad in there of other special sales you have going, you may find you have another repeat customer purchasing more of your stuff within no time at all!
- Consider Having Some Refrigerator Magnets for gifts to your clients, especially for your returning clients! Make it sooooo easy to find you, they don’t even consider looking for someone else!
- You can use your same business card design and have it turned into a frig magnet.. You can even add a small calendar to it.. there's a LOT of illustration advertising you could do, these are just a few!
- Put Your Logo everywhere you can possibly afford to put it! Get people familiar with your logo, your design and who you are, so they’ll quickly know who to turn to when they’re in need of what you have to offer!
- Put it on T-Shirts, Mouse Pads, Key chain's... and sell or give it away….. and of course don’t forget to add your website near the logo or design so that people know where to turn when they see it!
- Make a book about it! See what Eloise did with her artwork (I HAD to get one for myself!)
