How to use your craigslist template:

First you must have an account with craigslist.  If you don’t have an account, sign up for one now.
Login to your account
At the top right corner find the area you want to post an ad in and click “go”
Click the appropriate category based on what you’re selling
Post your Title
Open the html template code I gave you,
right click with your mouse
and select all and copy.
Paste the full html code into the craigslist description box

To Change the Picture/s
Click inside the html code
Then with your keyboard click Control and F button
Now type in the search field/or paste in the following search terms: your-image-goes-here.jpg
Now that you found your image place holders you’ll need to get the images you want to use instead.

You’ll need to have the images uploaded to your image or website host
Find the http address of your product image, it may look something like this:

http://www.yourwebsite.com/images/productpicturename.jpg

get your image http address.  If you open your picture up in a separate interenet browser you can then copy it from the address bar and then paste it into the craigslist template where the image place holder is located (where it says “your-image-goes-here.jpg”).  Be sure to replace the whole http address, and not just the last name with jpg.

So, it may have first looked like this: http://www.yourwebsite.com/ctemp/your-image-goes-here.jpg
You then change it to something like: http://www.yourwebsite.com/images/productpicturename.jpg

Be sure to correct the width and height to the size of your image (or reduce as you see fit) otherwise  the current settings may make your product image distorted, possibly too small or too big.    You can check the size of your image by hovering over the image when it is located on your computer, it should say how big it is.  If you need to downsize the image be sure to downsize the width and height evenly so that it’s not distorted.

To Change the Description

Scroll a little above or below the pictures and you’ll find my own description text…  Just delete my description text and replace it with your own.

It may look something like this:
<td valign="top"><p><font size="3" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif">This is a custom craigslist template design for my computer and electronics client CDROKC.com. This is the area where he can put his pictures and product description. </a></font></p>

Just change out my text description with your own.
When you’re done adding your own text and pictures,
Click Continue
You can go back and edit it or Click Continue to post the ad
